The Detroit Chapter is part of an international network of 13 community based chapters, of a philanthropic and charitable women's organization. The organization was established in 1953. The Detroit chapter was installed in 1967 for the purpose of providing services and resources to the underserved in our local community.
Each member engenders a strong sense of civic responsibility and obligation to be of service to others. Each is strongly dedicated and committed to charitable service. Our organization consists of dynamic, professional women of African descent, who are unique and qualified in their respective leadership skills and abilities.
We welcome those who share our vision as new members into our organzation. Our members are bonded by friendship and sisterhood relationships on a local, national and international level.
